TalentLMS has named ACT the Gold winner of its Top Training Award for a companywide training program that supports 150+ remote employees across 30+ states.

The 2026 Training Excellence Awards recognize training programs for innovation, impact and commitment to learners. ACT’s Top Training Award, at the Gold level, recognizes our companywide training program and the employees who complete it.

The challenge

Supporting 150+ remote employees across 30+ states made it difficult to deliver, track and standardize training at scale. TalentLMS allowed us to centralize training records and develop custom, ACT-specific courses, giving us a more robust and consistent training program across our entire organization.

How the program works

ACT’s training library now includes 213 courses. Twenty-nine of them are tailored to individual facilities, so a technician preparing for a site learns that site’s equipment, hazards and procedures, not only the general material. Courses are delivered on company tablets and reinforced with hands-on, in-person practice.

Safety is a core part of the program. Safety training goes with every field technician, and work around energized power systems leaves no room for “good enough.”

The results

Training only works when it gets finished. Over the past two years, required-training completion has risen substantially. Since the Field team made training a KPI in 2026, its completion rate has not fallen below 97%.

Directors now play a larger role in training by owning regional reporting and course completion. TalentLMS reporting helps us stay on top of shifts and trends, giving us an ongoing pulse on training progress and needs across the organization.

“This award recognizes the effort our employees put into learning and the work that goes into making training useful for the field. We’re proud of this achievement, and we’ll keep improving our programs so our people have the knowledge and skills to work safely and confidently.”Edwin Martinez Cuascut, Senior Manager of Workforce Development & Training

Who made it happen

Thank you to the Field team for making training an important KPI, to the Directors for taking ownership of regional completion and reporting, and to the Workforce Development & Training and Safety teams for managing the program.

What comes next

We’re continuing to expand ACT-specific training as new requirements emerge, with a focus on leadership development, career progression and safety. We’re also using TalentLMS to align our training with OEM requirements where needed and keep courses relevant to the company’s needs.
